Who we are......

Founded over 50 years ago Milton Abbas Art group is still going strong and highly valued within the community.

We are a group of local amateur artists, who meet weekly during the spring, summer and autumn months to share our enjoyment of a variety of creative pursuits, from painting and photography to ceramics. Our meetings are held on Monday evenings from 7.00 until 9.00 pm in the Reading Room in the heart of the beautiful Dorset village of Milton Abbas. Sometimes these evenings are themed but often they are just enjoyable opportunities to sit together, be in creative company and pause for a cuppa and a chat.

Membership

We believe that art and creativity is for everyone and that each person has their own individual path to follow and explore. At Milton Abbas Art we strive to create a positive and supportive atmosphere where all members feel welcome and included.

Our meetings are relaxed and informal but we also provide regular workshops, trips out, social evenings, along with guest artist demonstrations.

There is also the exciting opportunity to show work in our annual summer exhibition where we share our creativity with the wider community.

We strive to keep our membership fees as low as possible but at the same time it does need to cover such essential costs as room hire, heating, and events. However

membership also includes a 10% discount at a local art supplies shop!
