Linda Kernon

Linda's Story

Born and raised in Boston, Lincolnshire, Linda grew up surrounded by the unique fen landscapes with the huge open skies and  beautiful coastline.  She also lived and taught in Cambridgeshire, Surrey, returning to Lincolnshire and finally relocating to Dorset.

As a child she loved to draw (mainly horses),but as adult life took over the only art in her life  was delivering  the art curriculum in primary schools. Whilst teaching that curriculum, Linda found a love of, and appreciation for, sculpture, and continues to enjoy visiting sculpture parks and galleries.

For a brief period Linda retrained as a florist and completed the level 2 City and Guilds floristry course in Bournemouth. This incorporated  her love of art, using form, colour, space and texture in her floral creations .

On retirement, Linda rekindled her love of art and began experimenting with different media, styles and subjects . She has chosen to start ‘small’ by painting bookmarks and is now beginning to create larger work .
