Milton Abbas Art Group July Bulletin

The Art Group are looking forward to being inspired by their next visiting artist: David Chandler.

David says: “We will look at how we can take the lead from our materials, rather than the other way around and respond to what is happening on the paper in order to create free and colourful, watercolour abstracts based upon the landscape.”

The workshop is being partially funded by a grant from the Milton Abbas Street Fair Trust, so it is affordable for all members. As there were some spaces available we were also able to offer a few non-members the opportunity to attend.

The group are now preparing for their annual summer exhibition which will run for 10 days.

It will be held in the Reading Room and starts on Saturday 19th July. The following Saturday 26th is when our biannual street fair is taking place so we are looking forward to extra visitors that day.

If you feel able to advertise anywhere for group, please do let us know. Hopefully you will be able to come down yourselves and peruse, ponder and perhaps purchase paintings, pottery, photography and other particulars which the artists will be displaying.
